Stan K. Sujka, MD is a graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his surgery/urology training at Millard Fillmore Hospital and the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. Dr. Sujka finished a fellowship in urologic oncology at the Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York where he served as an American Cancer Society Fellow. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Sujka's clinical interests are focused on the accurate diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of prostate and kidney cancer. An experienced urologic surgeon, Dr. Sujka is committed to providing personalized, tailored treatments of urological cancers by balancing treatment with maintaining quality of life.
Dr. Sujka has extensive expertise in brachytherapy ("seeds") which he has been performing since the early 1990s. He is trained in HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound), the new, minimally invasive exciting technology that may revolutionize the treatment of prostate cancer.
With kidney cancer, Dr. Sujka favors kidney sparing procedures, such as radio frequency ablation, cryosurgery and high-intensity focus ultrasound – procedures that get you back to living life as soon as possible. He also performs open kidney surgery as well as laparoscopic procedures.
Since Dr. Sujka has been in private practice for a long time, he has extensive experience with the treatment of female incontinence (outpatient, minimally invasive trans-vaginal sling), male urinary leaking after prostate surgery and with office Thermo Therapy (TherMatrx), a drug-free treatment for enlarged prostate relief. He was involved in clinical research with both Viagra and Cialis and has treated impotence patients with injections, MUSE, Vacuum pump, as well as penile implants.
Dr. Sujka is a Staff Physician at Orlando Regional Health System, Dr. Phillips Hospital, Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women, and is on courtesy staff at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida. He is in private practice and partner of the Orlando Urology Associates, PA. He is board certified by American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He belongs to the American Urological Association, the Southeasters Section of the American Urological Association and the Florida Urological Association.
Dr. Sujka has numerous publications to his credit that have appeared in J. Trauma, Journal of the American Medical Association, Urology, European Journal of Surgical Oncology and Journal of Urology. Dr. Sujka's non-academic writings have also appeared in the Florida Physician, Orlando Sentinel, Hospital Drive, an online magazine, and books such as Chicken Soup for the Teacher's Soul and Wisdom of the Ages.
On multiple occasions, he has been named "TOP DOC" in Urology by Orlando Magazine.
